The Utah legislature has authorized municipalities to adopt an ordinance that imposes a one percent transient room tax. It is the purpose of this chapter to conform the transient room tax ordinance of the city to the requirements of the transient room tax act, as amended. (Ord. 2011-05 § 2 (part); Code 2011)
