5.38.010 Definitions.
For purposes of this chapter, the definitions of Chapter 10.06 are adopted. In addition to those definitions, the following terms, phrases, words, and their derivatives as used in this chapter have the meanings set forth in this section:
A. “Abandon” means leaving an item unattended for any length of time.
B. “Fleet manager” means the person responsible for the daily operations of a scooter-share program, who must be based in the city.
C. “Geo-fence” or “geo-fencing” means a feature in a software program using a global positioning system (“GPS”) or radio frequency identification (“RFID”) technology to define virtual geographical boundaries.
D. “Licensee” means any scooter-share operator who obtains and holds a business licensee as required by this chapter.
E. “Scooter-share operator” means a person offering a shared e-scooter for hire.
F. “Scooter-share program” means the offering of a shared e-scooter for hire.
G. “Shared e-scooter” means an e-scooter offered for hire. (Ord. 2021-13 § 1 (Att. A))
