This standard applies to new/reconstructed streets, overlaid streets, and slurry sealed streets. Prior to any mill, overlay or slurry, the trench will be restored to Midvale City’s “T” patch requirements.

A. New Streets/Reconstructed Streets. For three years after the moratorium ends, the asphalt surface shall be milled down a minimum of two inches, fifteen feet each way of the edge of the cut. Milling shall be done in widths equivalent to existing striped traffic lanes. Milling to be followed by a corresponding depth of asphalt overlay. City engineer reserves the right to require a distance greater than fifteen feet each way of the cut or a depth greater than two inches if deemed appropriate to restore the roadway to original conditions.

B. Overlaid Streets.

C. Slurry Sealed Streets. For one year after placement of slurry, an area of not less than fifteen feet from the edge of the cut (full traffic lane width) shall be re-slurry sealed with an approved Type II slurry. (Ord. 2021-21)
